Checkmate

Last night I had a strange craving for Chess Squares! I haven't had them in so long and they are so easy to make. If you haven't tried them before, you have missed out! But not for long! Run to the grocery and grab 6 simple ingredients! Your mouth will thank you.

Here are the things you will need:
1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
8 oz. Cream Cheese
3 Eggs
1 Stick Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 Box Powdered Sugar

Mix cake mix and butter until crumbly.

Press in 9x13 inch pan sprayed with Pam.

Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, cream cheese and eggs; stir until smooth.
Reserve enough powdered sugar to dust the top of squares.
Pour in pan.

Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes.

Top will barely be brown when done. Let cool and cut into squares. Enjoy!

I wanted to blog about our pizzas we made... but it's a lot of work taking all these pictures between steps. :) I also had a very hungry husband and father-in-law waiting on them. We finally ate around 8:15 (which is late for Wiley and I), but it would have been much later if my mother-in-law weren't helping me! Thanks Ms. Patricia!

We made one pizza with pesto, chicken, red onion, fresh corn, black beans, grated parmesan, and mozzarella. The other one was equally good with tomatoe sauce, Hutchins special bbq sauce, calamata olives, chicken, parmesan, mozzarella, red onion, basil leaves.
