Thrifty Thursday

My friend found these simple floating frames at Wally World for $8 or $9 dollars. She needed one more and sent me on a mission. I decided I needed some as well... so we now own several. I haven't totally decided what I am going to do with them, although I've been given several awesome suggestions and I have a lot of ideas.
I did find this great website: http://dailydropcap.com/, which lead me to use 1 of my frames.

So, this simple $9.00 project seems fitting for "Thrifty Thursday".

Please pray for Spencer Perkins & his family

The information below was provided by The Commercial Dispatch:

Heritage Academy student in critical condition after hunting accident

A 17-year-old Heritage Academy soccer player was in critical but stable condition today after accidentally shooting himself with a shotgun Sunday while dove hunting in Noxubee County.

Spencer Perkins was on family owned land off Highway 388 near Brooksville when the gun went off accidentally at about 5:30 p.m., said Heritage Academy Athletic Director Bruce Allsup.

Perkins was hunting with his brother while his father, Tim Perkins, owner of Monroe Tufline in Columbus, hunted nearby, Allsup said.

The junior was airlifted from the scene to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson in critical condition.

He was still listed as in critical but stable condition in the intensive care unit early Monday.

"The main thing is he is still alive," Allsup said. "We've just got to pray for him and pray that the doctors do a good job."

He replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20

Thrifty Thursday

This weekend I stopped by a local thrift store and found these filthy dirty $10 lamps! They were brown when I bought them, but under all that dirt was beautiful marble.
I should have taken a good before pic, but by the time I thought about it, I had already started cleaning them.
I found the missing finial and just need to get shades for them!
